Aluminyum

It is available as bauxite ore in nature and it is known with its superiour resistance against oxiditation. Tis resistance is provided by passivation property. The minerals from which aluminum is obtaine: Bauxite, Nepheline, Alunite, Clay. Its density is approximately one third of steel or copper. The carrying surface thickness on sandwich panels and the sheet thickness of trapezes should not be thinner than 0,70 mm. It can be plain or its surface can be embossed. Properties of Aluminum 1. Aluminum is light-weighted. 2. Aluminum is resistant against weather conditions, food products and many liquids and gases used in daily life. 3. Aluminum has a high reflection capacity. Thanks to its silvery white color contributing this property, it has an attractive appearance for both interior and exterior architecture. This attractive appearance of aluminum can be maintained for a long time through applications like anodic oxidation. 4. Aluminum is an elastic material. Thus, it is resistant against sudden impacts. In addition, its resistance level does not reduce in low temperatures. (The resistance of steel against sudden impacts reduces in low temperatures) 5. Aluminum is an easily processable metal. 6. Aluminum conducts heat and electricity as well as copper.
